Dendrobium trantuanii is a species of orchid that is native to Vietnam. It was named after Tran Trong Truong, a Vietnamese botanist who discovered it in 1999.Dendrobium trantuanii is an epiphytic orchid that grows on trees and rocks. It has cylindrical pseudobulbs that can reach up to 30 cm in length, with leaves that grow at the top of the pseudobulb. The flowers are typically pink, with a darker pink or purplish lip, and have a fragrant scent. They grow in clusters of up to 12 on the stem of the plant.
To grow Dendrobium trantuanii, it is recommended to provide it with bright, indirect light and high humidity. It can be grown in a well-draining medium, such as sphagnum moss or bark, and should be watered regularly but allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. Fertilization can be done with a balanced orchid fertilizer at half strength every two to four weeks. This orchid prefers temperatures between 18-30°C (65-85°F) during the day and 10-20°C (50-68°F) at night, making it suitable for warm to intermediate environments.
