What’s Inside Your Package
To protect delicate leaves during transit, components are packed separately.
Inside the box, you will find:
• 🌱 Live carnivorous plant (carefully wrapped inside a protective container)
• 🪴 Nursery pot
• 🌿 Three peat soil
• 📖 Care instructions
Please unwrap the plant gently to avoid damaging the leaves.
Before You Start
Prepare the following:
• A larger container (deeper than the pot)
• Distilled, rain, or reverse osmosis water
• A pair of tweezers
• A clean workspace
⚠️ Important: Only use distilled, rain, or RO water. Tap water contains minerals that can harm carnivorous plants.
Step-by-Step Potting Guide
Step 1 – Soak the Soil (About 20 Minutes)
-
Place the peat discs into the nursery pot.
-
Put the pot inside a larger container.
-
Slowly add distilled water until the pot is about 80% full.
-
Allow the peat to absorb the water completely (approximately 20 minutes).
The soil should become fully expanded, evenly moist, and free of dry spots before moving to the next step.
Step 2 – Prepare the Planting Hole
Using tweezers, gently dig a hole about 0.5 inches deep in the center of the pot.
Step 3 – Plant Gently
• Carefully place the roots into the hole
• Cover the roots with soil
• Keep the rosette (crown) above the soil surface
• Lightly press soil around the base to stabilize
Do not bury the crown.
Step 4 – Add the Humidity Cup
Place the clear cup over the plant.
This helps the plant adjust to humidity after shipping and reduces transplant shock.
Keep the cup on for approximately 2–3 weeks.
After that, you may remove it once the plant has stabilized.
What to Expect After Planting
It is normal for your plant to look slightly stressed after shipping.
Give it:
• Bright, indirect light
• Clean distilled water
• A few days to adjust
New growth will appear from the center as the plant acclimates.
