Cattleya Coccinea, or Sophronitis coccinea, is the most well-known among Sophronitis genus. It's a cool-to-warm growing epiphyte on trees and shrubs from southeastern Brazil to Argentina, mainly in the tropical coastal forest. It produces non-fragrant but long-lasting brilliant red flowers, which can be from 1" to nearly 3" wide.
Cattleya Coccinea likes high humidity, great air movement, and cool temperatures. It can grow both on planter and tree fern or wood plate.
